- Contact forms: Name, email address, company name, and message content
- Email subscriptions: Email address for guide delivery
- Workshop bookings: Contact details and business information necessary to deliver our services
We also collect some information automatically:
- Optional analytics: Only if you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics and our own website measurement to understand visits and interactions. This can include pages viewed, referring websites, browser and device information, approximate location and session identifiers. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from enquiring or booking.
- Technical data: Browser type, device type, and IP address for security and performance purposes

We use your information to:
- Respond to your enquiries
- Deliver guides and resources you have requested
- Provide workshop services
- Improve our website and services
- Send occasional updates about new guides or workshops (only if you have subscribed)

Your Data Protection Measures
- Encrypted connections: All data transmitted to and from our website uses HTTPS with modern TLS encryption, enforced via HSTS (HTTP Strict Transport Security)
- Saved enquiries: When you send an enquiry, we store the information you provide and send a copy by email. We use it to respond, manage follow-up and discuss the services you have asked about.
- Restricted access: Access to saved enquiries is restricted. No website or online service can guarantee complete security. Please do not include passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information in the contact form.
- Anti-spam protection: Our forms use cryptographic challenge tokens to prevent automated abuse, without requiring intrusive CAPTCHAs
- Security headers: We implement thorough browser security policies including Content Security Policy (CSP), clickjacking protection, and XSS prevention
6. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
7. Cookies
Optional analytics is off until you choose to accept it. You can accept or reject analytics using the on-page controls and change your choice at any time using . Withdrawing your choice stops future analytics collection on our pages; it does not automatically delete records already collected.
We keep an essential preference cookie, elansio_analytics, for up to six months so that we can remember your choice. If your browser cannot save that preference, analytics stays off. Accepted analytics may also use Google Analytics cookies and a session identifier in your browser's session storage. Necessary security and administration functions are separate from optional analytics.
Booking with Calendly: The calendar on our homepage and contact page loads automatically so you can choose a time without an extra loading step. This connects your browser to Calendly, which receives your IP address, browser details and the origin of this website, and processes information you enter to arrange a booking. Calendly may use cookies or similar technologies. We do not hide Calendly’s cookie controls; manage its optional cookies in the calendar. You can close the calendar to stop displaying it, but this does not undo data already sent or delete existing cookies. Calendly is separate from our optional site analytics, so rejecting Elansio analytics does not prevent the calendar loading. Read Calendly’s privacy notice for details.
YouTube video: The About-page player connects to YouTube only when you select “Load YouTube video”. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player without autoplay. This is not a promise of no data collection: Google may receive your IP address, browser details and this website’s origin, and use cookies or similar technologies when you use the player. See Google’s privacy policy. The introductory video hosted directly on our homepage does not use a YouTube embed.
Calendly and YouTube are separate from our site analytics preferences. You can close either embed using its close button. Closing removes it from the page; it does not undo earlier data sharing or delete cookies or information already held by the provider. Direct Calendly and YouTube links open those external websites in a new tab, under their own notices and controls. You can use our enquiry form instead of making a Calendly booking.
8. Data Retention
For enquiries that do not become customers, we review the personal information we hold 12 months after the last meaningful contact. We delete or anonymise information that is no longer needed, including the saved website enquiry and relevant email copies, unless there is a documented reason to retain it, such as an ongoing enquiry, a legal obligation or a dispute.
This is a manual review process, not automatic deletion on a fixed date. If we retain information after review, we document why it is still needed and when it should next be reviewed.
Customer contracts, invoices and other service records are considered separately. We retain them for as long as necessary to provide our services and meet applicable legal obligations; the 12-month enquiry review is not a deletion deadline for those records.
You can contact us at any time to ask about, access or request deletion of information you have shared. Requests are considered subject to applicable legal requirements.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top indicates when changes were made.
